OOTD// Beach Bling

It's very nearly June and that means only one thing..... It's nearly time for a Summer holiday. That one holiday you've been looking forward to since Winter. That holiday that sun kisses your body, lightens your hair and relaxes your mind. But this also goes hand in hand with the dreaded bikini body.

Don't stress, it's very simple. You put on your beach wear and that's it.... you're beach body ready. To help you out with the right attire for your hols, we have put a few #ootd together to inspire you!

1. The Ibiza Weekender

We've gone for a a geometric print bikini with a flash of neon brights from River Island. Go for a bra-let structured bikini so it can be doubled up as a crop top. Throw a loose cami or kimono over the top as a cover up. We couldn't resist this mesh graphic tee from River Island in their exclusive Patcha collection. It's IBIZA, so the long summer days are going to be spent drinking, singing and dancing way into the early mornings, so footwear is important. Go for a wedge or flatform for extra height and the apparance that you're wearing a heel without the excruciating pain that usually comes with it. We chose these metallic 90s flatforms from Topshop to keep in with the urban vibe. We all know going out with a bag can be hard work especially when you want to rave. Opt for a bumbag, so that you can relax and not worry about where your bag is. Every outfit needs accessorising, even beachwear. We went for The Iona Layered Jewel Pendant. Celebs have been parading their bodies all over instagram over the last months pairing layered pendants with bikinis, so keep the pendant on, even when the cover up comes off. Last but not least, don't forget the lashes. It may be the daytime and 100 degrees, but it's still a party.

2. The Sun, Sea and Sand

Whether your going away with the girls, the boyfriend or family, you can look chic, yet beachy with the ootd above. Multiple straps on beachwear have been popular this Summer. We went for a simple khaki bikini with crossover detail. Khakis great for any skin tone, so will look great pre tanned. Keep it simple and go for a sarong. They're so versatile. Wear it as a skirt, dress, kimono or even a head scarf if you've slightly baked in the sun. Keep the footwear simple and go for a comfy flip flop or sandal. We opted for a black leather thong with gold chain detailing. When it comes to a bag, it's pretty simple. Go for a large tote to fit all your girly products, towel, books, lilo, music in and any other accessory you may want to take down to the beach. We love this khaki floral Billabong tote and it's in a canvas fabric, perfect to go in the wash to get rid off all those loose grains of sand. If it's hot, don't forget to cover up with a BB cream to protect your face and still making your skin look flawless. The last and most important accessory is the shades. Go for an oversized pair to look cool and chic. We love these Black Oversize Glasses to pull together your full beach look.

3. The Package Holiday

Is there anything better than an all inclusive package holiday to get away from the chaotic stress of everyday life. You can sit by the pool, drinking pina colada's and reading the latest cosmopolitan. We went for a beautiful laced white bikini with beaded detailing. Go for a a halterneck so that when you're catching raise, you can untie it to stop unwanted tan lines. Throw on a loose cover up to go down to breakfast/ pool in. We fell in love with this chiffon cover up from River Island with silver diamante detailing round the neckline. The lemons and soft hues of blue are calming and look really pretty. We matched the sandals to the cover up, going for diamante detailing on these three strap mules. Again, we were drawn to a canvas style tote, so that if any suncream leaks, it can be washed out easily enough. For a bit of extra glamour, we chose The Kylee Gold Tassel Charm Bracelet, as the gold and blue charms match perfectly with the outfit. Finish your look with a lip balm to keep your lips moist and to avoid them drying up in the sun.

4. The UK Surf Break

We aren't all lucky enough to go abroad for our summer holidays, but a holiday in the UK is still pretty good, especially if the rain holds off. We went for a casual outfit in a surfer chick style. Keep it simple and go for a black bikini. Black goes with everything and can look stylish no matter what you pair it with. We went for a pair of ripped frayed shorts with a high waist line. If it's a cold day, wear a pair of leggings underneath them for extra warmth. Keep the footwear basic and practical. a pair of flip flops or converse are the best beach wear for the UK. Bare feet isn't an option on the shoreline. We love this dry top form Billabong, a twist on a wetsuit, to keep you a little bit warmer if you're toying with the idea of going swimming. To carry all your belongings down to the beach, a backpack is always a winner, especially this fringed rucky from topshop with shark tooth detailing. Finish your beachy look with a few bangles and bracelets. We think The Amara Layered Beach Charm Bracelet is great for adding detail. It's one bracelet but acts as a few for a cool surfer effect. Keep your hair feeling soft with a few sprays of a sun and sea protector, which also adds to the beachy toussled look.

We can almost smell the suncream and taste the cocktails! Have a great holiday everyone!

OOTD/ May day

It only feels like last week when we were planning the Easter bank holiday and now May Day is nearly upon us. We're not complaining, everyone loves a long weekend.

We've been really lucky this month, not an April shower in sight, so it's time to embrace the weather this bank holiday and we've got the perfect May Day outfit to suit every weekend plan.

We are still in LOVE with the Monochrome trend for Summer, but we have played with the patterns and textures to create a summery version. The wide leg culottes are from Topshop. Topshop never let us down with the beautiful patterns for every season, this one no exception, with an overlapping busy floral print. We teamed it with a cotton scalloped textured tank. It's the perfect length, as you can tuck into the culottes or wear it loose over the top if you're having a lot to eat and drink. The scalloping softens the look.

It's time to dig out your sandals and cut out shoes. We went for a patent sandal version of a school shoe. The buckles and patent finish bring a bit of formality to the outfit, but still able to show a bit of flesh. This black leather rucky is great for a day out to pack all your essentials in. It's very versatile as it has a small strap, so it can be held as a handbag too.

When picking jewellery for this outfit, we were stuck for choice, as The Adorning Ava Monochrome Trend has such strong pieces this season. In the end, we decided on The Kyla Black Jewel Rope Necklace, as it's sets off the outfit perfectly. The design of the necklace is almost made to wear with the culottes. We chose The Leila Monochrome Hoop Earrings. The hoops bring of extra detail to the outfit. Don't forget, the sun is out so your outfit isn't complete without a pair of shades. The Black Round Cat Eye Sunglasses are one of our fave pairs at AAHQ.  They make any outfit look stylish.

Don't forget, it is England, so make sure you've packed you pocket umbrella. Those April showers have a way of creeping into May. For a Summery fresh look, keep your make up simple with a quick flick of eye liner and a clear lipgloss.

OOTD // IN THE MONOCHROME ZONE

A huge trend that seems to make an appearance every season is monochrome, due to the fact that the trend screams sophistication, style and chicness. This year is no exception with pioneers such as Givenchy and Chanel leading the way. Monochrome is bolder than ever, with designers experimenting with textures, prints and and every shade of gray in between (50 shades I may add).

We have looked at how to wear monochrome in a classic and glamorous way, but to pull off monochrome as day wear in a stylish and edgy manner may seem a little harder to master. But we're here to tell you differently. It;s actually really easy to put a casual outfit together with a few classic pieces that will see you through many seasons to come.

A white shirt is a mandatory item in any girls closet, but this year shirts of got bigger and baggier. Long gone are the fitted shirts we have seen in earlier trends and in it's place a boyfriend shirt. It's a brilliant way to look stylish in a slouchy and comfortable way. We love this shirt from Topshop, as it's so versatile. We have paired it with a pair of ripped jeans from River Island to give the whole look an edgy, grungy feel. We've gone for a super skinny fit, but if you're more comfortable in "mom" jeans, this will work just as well.

Every outfit isn't complete without the extras... the accessories. It's all about accessorizing! We have picked out a soft over sized faux leather bag from Topshop. The fabric of the bag is great for this look, a little textured and the softness gives the bag real character. it also has a long messenger strap, perfect for the day if you're planning on doing a heavy work out of retail therapy. If your sick of wearing heels and your feet are screaming for a day off, try a pair of black ankle boots. We've gone for another trusty item from Topshop with a brushed silver chain as embellishment. It gives the whole outfit a bit of glamour without having to put on the killer sling backs.

The most importnat thing about this attire is the jewellery. without it, the outfit looks unimaginative and dull. The shirt we've picked screams out for a chunky statement necklace. The Ariella Necklace from Adorning Ava is perfect for that, with the ornate black jewels contrasting against the crisp white shirt. The clear crystals and gun metal chain pulls the whole outfit together creating a chic, but edgy feel. If you're more of an earring kind of girl, these Leila Monochrome Hoop Earrings compliment the outfit perfectly and are a steal at £7. Our new Monochrome collection has just landed filled with an array of statement necklaces and ornate earrings that would pair perfectly with our chosen outfit.

Finally add a sleek black flick of eyeliner from Bobbi Brown. The gel is brilliant if you haven't got the steadiest of hands, as you can apply it with ease, even if you're in a rush. Finish with a hue of gray with your favourite nail polish, ours is Amarapura from Nars. That's it!

All our monochrome collection is available now, stay tuned to see a sneak peek of our next collection coming soon...
