OOTD // EMILIO PUCCI '70S STYLE STEAL
SS15 is almost officially upon us, and the high street is already stocking up on designer inspired goodies for the season ahead - including Adorning Ava! We've shown you how to work the monochrome trend with ease, next it's onto the '70s style that's sweeping stores across the nation.
We love the colour of the cut out dress from the Emilio Pucci SS15 show - perfect to wear with a summer tan! We've found this gorgeous River Island racer front asymmetric dress in the same shade of orange, in a design that's a little easier to wear. Orange may seem a daunting choice, especially when you're thinking of what colours to pair it with. If you're ever struggling, just look at a colour wheel and think opposites.
In this case, deep purples and blues are ideal. Our Jazmin Jewel Pendant Necklace (coming soon!) mixes both bright orange and cobalt blue jewels for some serious '70s style. You can still buy our Jazmin Geometric Jewel Choker here in the meantime! We've matched our make up to our necklace, adding a swish of cobalt liquid eyeliner and a hint of white pencil liner for the inner corners. With such bright eyes, it's best to keep your lips toned down. This bronze shade will tone well with your tan without being too overpowering, and the slight shimmer to it will be sure to make you look glowing.
We love the way the team at Emilio Pucci have styled their dress with tan shoes and a matching bag. Tan leather shoes are a summer must have, particularly those with a chunky heel, which luckily makes them much easier to walk in as well! This Steve Madden pair are absolutely to die for, plus they're made with real leather! We found this tan fringe bag at La Moda - an almost identical match to the catwalk for a bargain £22.99! Fringing was a key trend in the '70s, but if a heavily fringed bag is a little too much for your liking, we've got plenty of jewellery pieces on their way soon with delicate chain fringe detailing that's easy for anyone to wear.
To complete the look, make like model Nadja Bender and work L'Oreal Professional techni.art Beach Waves into your hair, either when it's wet or dry, for an ultra cool boho style in minutes.

OOTD // IN THE MONOCHROME ZONE
A huge trend that seems to make an appearance every season is monochrome, due to the fact that the trend screams sophistication, style and chicness. This year is no exception with pioneers such as Givenchy and Chanel leading the way. Monochrome is bolder than ever, with designers experimenting with textures, prints and and every shade of gray in between (50 shades I may add).
We have looked at how to wear monochrome in a classic and glamorous way, but to pull off monochrome as day wear in a stylish and edgy manner may seem a little harder to master. But we're here to tell you differently. It;s actually really easy to put a casual outfit together with a few classic pieces that will see you through many seasons to come.
A white shirt is a mandatory item in any girls closet, but this year shirts of got bigger and baggier. Long gone are the fitted shirts we have seen in earlier trends and in it's place a boyfriend shirt. It's a brilliant way to look stylish in a slouchy and comfortable way. We love this shirt from Topshop, as it's so versatile. We have paired it with a pair of ripped jeans from River Island to give the whole look an edgy, grungy feel. We've gone for a super skinny fit, but if you're more comfortable in "mom" jeans, this will work just as well.
Every outfit isn't complete without the extras... the accessories. It's all about accessorizing! We have picked out a soft over sized faux leather bag from Topshop. The fabric of the bag is great for this look, a little textured and the softness gives the bag real character. it also has a long messenger strap, perfect for the day if you're planning on doing a heavy work out of retail therapy. If your sick of wearing heels and your feet are screaming for a day off, try a pair of black ankle boots. We've gone for another trusty item from Topshop with a brushed silver chain as embellishment. It gives the whole outfit a bit of glamour without having to put on the killer sling backs.
The most importnat thing about this attire is the jewellery. without it, the outfit looks unimaginative and dull. The shirt we've picked screams out for a chunky statement necklace. The Ariella Necklace from Adorning Ava is perfect for that, with the ornate black jewels contrasting against the crisp white shirt. The clear crystals and gun metal chain pulls the whole outfit together creating a chic, but edgy feel. If you're more of an earring kind of girl, these Leila Monochrome Hoop Earrings compliment the outfit perfectly and are a steal at £7. Our new Monochrome collection has just landed filled with an array of statement necklaces and ornate earrings that would pair perfectly with our chosen outfit.
Finally add a sleek black flick of eyeliner from Bobbi Brown. The gel is brilliant if you haven't got the steadiest of hands, as you can apply it with ease, even if you're in a rush. Finish with a hue of gray with your favourite nail polish, ours is Amarapura from Nars. That's it!
All our monochrome collection is available now, stay tuned to see a sneak peek of our next collection coming soon...

OOTD // TOM FORD FOR LESS
We'd all love to be able to afford to buy looks straight from the catwalk, but for those of us who have a little less disposable funds, it's great when we can recreate those same looks for less. Tom Ford is known for his tailoring, and a slick black suit is the perfect way to wear the monochrome trend this season. We've pulled together pieces from some of the high street giants and added some adornment to give you a top end Tom Ford look at a fraction of the cost!
A tuxedo blazer is great for day or night, work or play! It's fitted shape means it's smart enough for work, but a satin effect collar adds a touch of glam for the evening. We love this Miss Selfridge number for just £20! Tom Ford paired his blazer with a sheer insert top underneath, like this daring crop top from Topshop. Wear them with these River Island black flare trousers for a sophisticated feel. Wider hems are back this season, so even if you usually go for strictly skinny trousers like me, try on a pair next time you hit the shops - you may just be surprised how well you pull them off!
Pointed court heels are a must for any work or play wardrobe, and this Steve Madden pair are to die for. Although at £69 they're a little more pricey than other high street brands, it only takes one look to notice the difference in quality and they're sure to last you much longer, which is great as their style is timeless.
There's a lot of black in this look, so adding some metalwork and jewels is a must! Our Danica Silver Jewel Cuff is so unique and sure to draw in the compliments. If you're after something more edgy than pretty, our Ayra Black Jewel Tassel Earrings are the ones for you. With long flowing chain detail and faceted gunmetal gems, you can guarantee they'll catch anyone's eye.
To complete this look just like Tom Ford himself, add lashings of black eyeshadow and some salt spray for a texturised hairstyle. We adore this Laura Mercier smoky palette and TIGI Catwalk salt spray - both currently in the sales!
